Are you available for one or more of days and interested in supporting over 13,000 participants at one of the largest political events in Europe?

Leonard Cheshire works with a number of organisations and events across the country every year to provide excellent disability equality training. This year we are getting ready for the party conference season – will you join us as an accessibility steward?

We are looking for volunteers for both the National Women’s Conference on the 22nd September, and the Annual Labour conference which is taking place from the 23rd – 26th September at the Arena and Convention Centre in Liverpool.

Your role will include giving directions to accessible routes, accessible toilets and rest points; providing information to hearing loops, large print documents and copies of speeches; and signposting guests to other places if necessary. Our volunteers will be over 18 years, friendly, reliable, organised and comfortable speaking with a range of different people. You will have an awareness of disability equality or a keen interest in learning more about it, as training will be provided.
